At our art class, kids will create their own take-home artwork – inspired by the Immersive Nutcracker! Presented by professional art teachers, kids aged 6+ (and youngsters under 6 with a caretaker) will enjoy this 45-minute holiday-themed activity – all supplies included. Kids will also be treated to a delicious cup of “Sugar Plum” hot cocoa with an oversized marshmallow and whipped cream!
Talia Prilutsky, an Art Educator (MA)/Artist living in Wheeling IL. Originally from Ukraine, Talia came to Chicago in 1998 from Israel. She has participated in many local art shows, and her work has been published in Art & Beyond magazine and in a catalogue “Living Artists of Today: Contemporary Art.” She is the founder of Artishock, a private art studio, and served as its Art Director/Instructor for 15 years. Talia still loves teaching art at all levels – to children, teens and adults. Since 2015, Talia has been conducting social painting parties with great success, helping people to find their inner artist and inspiration. She believes that art has the power to inspire, heal, challenge, and bring peace to our lives. Very enthusiastic and creative about social painting events, Talia has a lot of experience and excellent artistic skills to share with all art lovers.
Originally from Canada, Kerry holds two Bachelors in Fine Arts degrees from Champlain College and at the International Academy of Design and Technology and Design (IADT). After receiving her degree from IADT in 2008, and because of her love and passion for kids and art combined, she founded Easel Art Studio. Kerry enjoys seeing a child grow their creativity and express themselves through art.
Jess is an Iowa native and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Iowa. Her creative candle is always burning, and she stays true to that by painting every day in her home studio. Jess enjoys teaching children to look at the initial foundations of the art making process so they can grow and learn to create their own inspired masterpieces.
